Indie-Rock Band The Dig Hits The Satellite This September!

In the Details by Ashley Berry

It’s coming up on a year since I first saw The Dig live at The Satellite and I have eagerly awaited their return to Los Angeles. Luckily for me, the wait is almost over. The NYC-based indie-rock foursome will be returning to the Satellite this September, almost a year after celebrating the release of their You & I EP at the very same spot.

In just four years, The Dig has released four studio recordings, Electric Toys (2010), Midnight Flowers (2012), and then back-to-back EPs, Tired Hearts and You & I, in 2014. From the beginning, The Dig’s sound was distinctly captivating and, over the years, they have only refined their ethereal mix of shoegaze, baroque pop, and surf rock.

Between all four albums, there are too many gems to choose an absolute favorite track. “Angeline”, “You and I Lost Control”, and “Break the Silence” are always frontrunners, but today I’m going with the addictively dreamy “I Already Forgot Everything You Said” from Midnight Flowers. Check it out and then snag your tickets to see The Dig at The Satellite on September 19th before it’s too late!
