Counterpart episode seven ripped our heart out and exposed a simple truth. The real enemy is shrouded in mystery. Is it Alexander Pope or Clare’s dad? Everyone has their counterpart.
Every time Counterpart introduces a villain, they immediately humanize them and make you like them. This is the duality of the show, the counterpart if you will. Since no new enemies were introduced in episode 7, that means we’ve already met the real enemy. But WHO IS THE REAL ENEMY? I have two culprits in mind.
Clare’s father is a real possibility. We saw him be nice for the first time, meaning he’s probably a very bad guy. Considering how little we know about him, he could be in on the entire Clare swap and be integral to the conspiracy.
Be Fit Enough To Survive Sci-Fi with THIS
Alexander Pope is also a likely enemy. He’s the only person we know for sure to be playing both sides. He’s also integral to ‘The School’ on the other side which is really just a prison for kids. They did not choose to be there! He’s evil. He’s the real enemy on Counterpart.
We love Counterpart! Episode 7 made us love a former enemy. Will someone kill Clare before she flips sides against her bosses? Is Howard still the real hero of this story, or is it Peter?
